Who we are
High Crest Inn is a small team of travel writers and former hotel staff. We started the site because most listings show the best room on its best day, and travellers deserved a straighter answer.
Our process
We book like any other guest and never tell the hotel we are coming. During each stay we check room condition, noise, cleanliness, Wi-Fi speed, breakfast quality and how staff respond to a simple request.
Scores are reviewed again when a hotel renovates, changes ownership or when readers report a change.
How the site is funded
Some booking links earn us a small commission at no extra cost to you. It never affects a score, and hotels cannot pay to be listed.
